Code of Conduct

Adult and youth sports programs play an important role in promoting the physical, social and emotional development of children along with the physical conditioning and competitive nature in the adult programs. It is therefore essential for parents, coaches, participants, and officials to encourage all athletes to embrace the values of good sportsmanship. Moreover, anyone involved in youth or adult sporting events should be models of good sportsmanship and should lead by example by demonstrating fairness, respect and self-control.

 

We are asking that you read the code of conduct below and adhere to it while attending events sponsored by Butler Dek Hockey Association, LLC.

 The following will not be tolerated:

1. Anyone who engages in or encourages unsportsmanlike conduct with any coach, parent, player, participant, official or any other attendee.

2. Anyone who engages in or encourages any behavior which would endanger the health, safety or well-being of any coach, parent, player, participant, official or any other attendee. This includes the use of drugs or alcohol while attending events.

3. Anyone who engages in or encourages the use of profanity.

4. All participants, coaches, parents, players, participants, officials or any other attendee will treat everyone with respect regardless of race, creed, color, national origin, sex, sexual orientation or ability.

5. All participants who engage in or encourage any verbal or physical threats or abuse aimed at any coach, parent, player, participant, official or any other attendee.

6. All participants who engage in or encourage a fight or scuffle with any coach, parent, player, participant, official or any other attendee.

Anyone who fails to follow the Code of Conduct is subject to the disciplinary actions listed below.

1. Verbal warning issued by the league, organization or official.

2. Suspension or immediate ejection from a youth sports event issued by the league, organization or official        who is authorized to issue such suspension.

3. Suspension from multiple youth sports events issued by the league, organization or official who is authorized to issue such suspension by Butler Dek Hockey Association, LLC.

4. Season suspension or multiple season suspension issued by Butler Dek Hockey Association, LLC.

5. Indefinite suspension from participating in any events sponsored by Butler Dek Hockey Association, LLC.
